We are working with both Armenia and Azerbaijan to see a stable Caucasus region. Ned Price
The spokesperson for the US State Department, Ned Price, addressed a reporter's inquiry during a briefing regarding Iran's recent military exercises near the border with Azerbaijan. In response to the question of whether the American side has any comments on this matter, Price stated, "I don’t have any particular comments on that. Of course, we want to see, and we have made it clear that we are interested in seeing a stable region in the Caucasus, a region where we are working with both Armenia and Azerbaijan to de-escalate tensions between those two countries and work to reduce any broader tensions that may arise."
It is noteworthy that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) of Iran began land exercises on October 17 in the Aras River area, located in the north of East Azerbaijan and Ardabil provinces.
