Armenia Initiates Extraordinary CSTO Meeting, Two Expectations from the Organization: Pashinyan
Armenia is initiating an extraordinary meeting of the CSTO Council. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced this during a Q&A session with the government, in response to a question about Armenia's expectations from the CSTO.
It is noteworthy that after the incursion of Azerbaijani armed forces into the territory of the Republic of Armenia on September 13, Armenia turned to the CSTO.
“I hope that this meeting will take place as soon as possible. There are two very clear expectations. First, the CSTO will provide a clear political assessment of what has happened, and second, it will adopt a roadmap regarding the restoration of Armenia's territorial integrity. These are the two expectations that I believe are not only the expectations of the Armenian government but also of the Armenian public and the people,” said Pashinyan.
According to him, with the adoption of these two decisions, many questions raised by the public and the government will be answered.
