Neutrality Means Accepting That the Law of the Strong Becomes the Common Law – Macron
French President Emmanuel Macron delivered a speech in Rome at the opening ceremony of a three-day interfaith summit. He addressed the Russia-Ukraine conflict, specifically noting:
“The war in Ukraine should not make us forget other conflicts—in Armenia, Syria, Iraq, Somalia, and the Middle East. Today, there are people being attacked, while on the other hand, there are leaders who have decided to assault, invade, and degrade. To remain neutral means to acknowledge that the law of the strong becomes the common law,” Macron stated.
According to the French president, a world based on the laws of the powerful cannot be legitimate.
