US Intelligence Lacks Evidence of Russia's Intent to Use Nuclear Weapons, White House
US intelligence services have no information regarding Russia preparing to launch a nuclear strike. This was stated today by White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre during a regular press briefing, as reported by Kp.ru.
“No, no,” said Jean-Pierre in response to a question about whether US intelligence has information on Russia's intentions regarding nuclear weapons usage.
The spokesperson added that US President Joe Biden used the term “Armageddon” in his speech on Thursday to express concern over the alleged threats of Russian President Vladimir Putin to use nuclear weapons.
Karine Jean-Pierre also noted that the US sees “no reason to adjust the positioning of its own nuclear forces.” Earlier, President Joe Biden stated that for the first time since the Cold War and the Caribbean crisis, the world could face nuclear war. Biden used the term “Armageddon” to express these concerns, placing the blame for the escalation on the Russian leadership.
