Aliyev Discusses Today's Quadrilateral Meeting
After the quadrilateral meeting with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, French President Emmanuel Macron, and Charles Michel, the President of the European Council, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev stated in an interview with Azerbaijani media that "we are gradually approaching peace."
"I appreciate Charles Michel's efforts in this direction because, as is known, several trilateral meetings have been held in Brussels, and each time we have come closer to peace," he said.
"During this meeting, important issues were discussed, and I believe that this meeting will be significant for signing a peace agreement. In any case, communication is ongoing. We have agreed to gather again after dinner. In any case, the peace process has gained momentum," Aliyev stated.
He noted that the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan will meet again. "We proposed that after that, the working groups of the two countries gather together and work over the next few days to prepare the text of the peace agreement. In other words, that is our intention," he said.
