VIDEO: What Putin and Aliyev Discussed

Discussions took place in Samarkand between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.

President Putin expressed concern over the situation between Azerbaijan and Armenia, which remains tense.

In turn, Aliyev thanked Vladimir Putin for the prompt response to the conflict occurring at the Armenian-Azerbaijani border. Aliyev stated, "Recent events showed that neither Armenia nor Azerbaijan has the desire for a large-scale escalation."
