What Was Proposed at the CSTO Meeting: Details
At the CSTO meeting, it was proposed to send the organization's Secretary General to the Armenia-Azerbaijan border and to establish a working group to analyze the situation. This was reported by BELTA.
Earlier, we reported that an extraordinary meeting of the CSTO Collective Security Council, chaired by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, was held in a videoconference format.
The meeting was also attended by Russian President Vladimir Putin, Kazakhstan President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov, Tajik Prime Minister Kokhir Rasulzoda, Belarusian Security Council State Secretary Alexander Volfovich, and CSTO Deputy Secretary General Valery Semerikov.
The meeting discussed the situation at the Armenia-Azerbaijan border and the CSTO's further steps. A statement regarding the decisions made will be issued by the CSTO Secretariat.
