Official Statement: Decision to Appeal to Russia, CSTO, and UN Security Council
Under the leadership of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, a meeting of the Security Council took place, attended not only by the members of the Council but also by President Vahagn Khachaturyan and National Assembly Speaker Alen Simonyan.
During the meeting, further measures to counteract the aggressive actions by Azerbaijan against Armenia's sovereign territory, which began at midnight, were discussed.
A decision was made to officially appeal to the Russian Federation regarding the activation of the provisions of the Treaty of Friendship, Cooperation and Mutual Assistance, to the Collective Security Treaty Organization, and to the UN Security Council in relation to the aggression against the sovereign territory of the Republic of Armenia.
