There Are No Turks in Aragatsavan, No Captives Taken: Aragatsotn Governor Denies Claims
Aragatsotn Governor Sergey Movsisyan has denied claims regarding reports that "Turks have taken captives of shepherds crossing the border in the village of Aragatsavan, Talin" in an interview with Auroranews.am.
It is worth recalling that earlier today, Armenian media disseminated information stating: "There is a tense situation in the village of Aragatsavan, Talin. Three armed Turks have taken eight shepherds and their livestock captive. After some time, mediated by the Russian side, initially the livestock was released, followed by the shepherds. The armed Turks, who are proficient in Armenian, are still in the village, and the police are searching for them while advising residents not to leave their homes. According to one resident, the shepherds accidentally crossed the border, which led to the escalation of the situation with the Turks."
In his conversation with Auroranews.am, Sergey Movsisyan stated that the regional administration would soon issue a denial regarding the false news.
