European Officials Decide to Punish Armenian Authorities: 'Hraparak'
The newspaper 'Hraparak' reports, 'During the session of the PACE from June 19-25, the Armenian delegation made three proposals behind the scenes to their European counterparts concerning pro-Armenian actions and statements, particularly regarding the return of prisoners of war. However, our source within the ruling party indicated that international partners were familiar with the proposals presented by our parliamentarians and the prepared text. They stated that they had no objections but would not advocate for Armenian interests as long as Armenia has not decided whether it is aligned with Europe or Russia.
Recently, European officials have perceived attempts by Armenian authorities to distance themselves and have decided to impose a form of punishment. At the very least, they aim to push Armenia to make a definitive decision about its orientation and to sever ties with Russia completely. We were unable to obtain comments from any members of the delegation that went to PACE.'
