Edvard Asryan Appointed Chief of the General Staff of Armed Forces
The President of the Republic of Armenia, Vahagn Khachaturyan, has signed a decree appointing Edvard Asryan as the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Armenia.
Based on the Prime Minister's recommendation and in accordance with Article 155, Part 3 of the Constitution, as well as Article 35.1, Part 1 and Article 36, Part 1, Subparagraph 1 of the Law on Military Service and the Status of Military Personnel, Edvard Asryan is appointed Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia for a term of five years.
