Moscow is Not Preparing to Exchange Azovstal Prisoners for Medvedchuk, Peskov Says
“Russia and Ukraine constantly exchange prisoners,” stated the press secretary of the Russian President. “The Defense Ministry deals with exchange issues; however, Moscow is not planning to exchange Azovstal prisoners for the political figure Medvedchuk,” Dmitry Peskov noted.
“Firstly, Medvedchuk is a Ukrainian citizen and has no connection to Russia. Secondly, this is a different category of people, and therefore it is unlikely that an exchange can be discussed,” he added.
Peskov also emphasized that the source of the global threat of famine is not Russia, but the sanctions.
