Artsakh Faces Challenge of Restoring Its Territorial Integrity, Says Presidential Spokesperson
The authorities of the Republic of Artsakh have a clear stance regarding the statements made in various negotiations and discussions about the fate of the Republic and its people. This was stated by the Press Secretary of the President of Artsakh, Lusine Avanesyan, in a comment to Artsakhpress. She added that she would like to remind about several provisions articulated by President Harutyunyan in December 2021:
- The full recognition of the right of the people of Artsakh to self-determination is not subject to any reinterpretation or concession. The exclusive owner of this issue is the people of Artsakh.
- The international recognition of the independence of the Republic of Artsakh remains a guiding principle for the authorities. Any status within Azerbaijan is unacceptable.
- It is unacceptable to return to the past not only in terms of status but also demographically. The Republic of Artsakh has the task of restoring its territorial integrity.
According to the Presidential spokesperson, the authorities of Artsakh build and implement their policies in accordance with the Declaration of Independence of the Republic of Artsakh and the Constitution, cooperating with all partners.
