Turkey Has Not Set Specific Demands for NATO Support of Finland and Sweden, Says U.S. State Department
Turkey has not set specific demands for NATO to support the membership applications of Finland and Sweden, said Ned Price, spokesperson for the U.S. State Department, as reported by RT.
“Of course, Turkey has not presented any specific requests or inquiries,” he stated.
According to the State Department representative, amid disagreements regarding countries joining the alliance, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken is scheduled to hold talks with his Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu on May 18 at the United Nations.
