Peskov Comments on Developments in Armenia

Russia is interested in the swift conclusion of the complex period in Armenia and the arrival of stability, stated Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the President of Russia.

“This is entirely an internal affair of Armenia. As you know, Armenia is our ally; it is our partner in several important integration formats. Armenia is our great friend. Therefore, we are certainly interested in this period ending as soon as possible, and for a period of stability to return,” Peskov told journalists.

Peskov further added that a period of stability in Armenia would “provide an opportunity to gradually move towards the implementation of the trilateral agreements regarding Nagorno-Karabakh, which have been finalized with the participation of the President of Russia, as well as in terms of the overall development of our bilateral relations.”
