Pregnant Woman Hit by Traffic Police Major Released on Signature Bail: Details
Shortly ago, the head of the Road Traffic Crime Investigation Department of the Yerevan Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia, Gor Tadevosyan, appointed a commission to investigate the case regarding A. Navasaradyan, who hit and killed 29-year-old Sona Mnatsakanian, a resident of Ararat Region, at the intersection of Paronyan and Leo streets in Yerevan on April 26.
According to shamshyan.com, A. Parsadanyan, a senior investigator for particularly significant cases in the same department, made a decision to allow A. Navasaradyan to be released on the signature of non-leaving his residence.
Recall that A. Parsadanyan had previously submitted a petition to the court of general jurisdiction of Yerevan, requesting that the court impose a two-month pre-trial detention on A. Navasaradyan, a 51-year-old resident of Ararat Region. He is a major in the police force and commander of the escort platoon of the road police and is suspected of fatally hitting pregnant Sona Mnatsakanian at the mentioned intersection on April 26.
