Erdogan to Hold Phone Conversation with Putin
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated during a speech in Ankara after a cabinet meeting that he expects to have phone conversations with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin on April 26, as reported by TASS.
"Tomorrow (Tuesday) I will have a phone conversation with Putin to first achieve a stable ceasefire and then for peace in Ukraine," he said.
Earlier, Erdogan expressed his opinion during a meeting with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, stating that a reasonable diplomatic solution would be found for the Ukrainian crisis.
Prior to this, the Turkish president announced that he would strive to arrange a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Zelensky in Turkey.
