Ara Aivazyan Speaks About the Reasons for His Resignation
“I believe that the mirror withdrawal of troops was a major tactical mistake on our part,” stated former Foreign Minister Ara Aivazyan at the Freedom Square.
He noted that he first heard about it on May 27 of the past year and submitted his resignation hours later. Additionally, he emphasized that he opposes border delimitation and demarcation.
When asked whether Aivazyan is against the policies pursued by the authorities, he remarked, “When I resigned, I believed that the prevailing policy does not contribute to the advancement of our national interests,” responding to Prime Minister Pashinyan's statements blaming his predecessors. Ara Aivazyan highlighted that the previous negotiators were highly patriotic individuals.
