VIDEO. Artsakh will not be part of Azerbaijan, we have no right to close our history in an undignified manner: Statement by the Speaker of the Artsakh National Assembly

Artsakh has never been and will never be part of independent Azerbaijan, and any discussion surrounding this is unacceptable for us. This is a red line that no one has the right to cross. This was stated by the Speaker of the National Assembly of Artsakh, Artur Tovmasyan, during an extraordinary session of the Artsakh Republic National Assembly.

“The annexation of Artsakh to Azerbaijan will lead to the destruction of Artsakh and will be a geopolitical, historical, and moral tragedy for the Armenian statehood and the Armenian people. The people of Artsakh are resolute and will not deviate from the path they have chosen. We have paid an extremely high price for our freedom and independence. We have no moral right to close our history in an undignified manner,” Tovmasyan stated.

In the National Assembly of Artsakh, a minute of silence was observed in honor of all the fallen. Tovmasyan declared that it is clear for all of us that they fell for the sake of Artsakh, for the sake of Armenia, and for the survival of the Armenian people.
