Pashinyan and US Secretary of State Discuss Issues Related to Artsakh

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had a phone conversation with the United States Secretary of State Antony Blinken. The interlocutors discussed agenda items concerning Armenian-American relations and emphasized the importance of further development and strengthening of bilateral cooperation in various sectors.

The Prime Minister expressed gratitude to the American side for supporting Armenia's democratic reforms and noted that the further strengthening of democracy is a policy adopted by the Armenian government.

Pashinyan and Blinken addressed the processes occurring in the South Caucasus and the increase in tensions around Nagorno-Karabakh. Pashinyan presented the situation in Artsakh resulting from the actions of Azerbaijani units, including humanitarian issues, and stressed the importance of a targeted response from the US.

Both sides emphasized the importance of ensuring stability and peace in the region, highlighting the significance of the co-chairmanship of the OSCE Minsk Group. There was also a discussion about the trilateral meeting scheduled for April 6 in Brussels.

The Prime Minister and the US Secretary of State exchanged thoughts on the delimitation and demarcation between Armenia and Azerbaijan, possibilities for unblocking regional communications, and the ongoing dialogue between Armenia and Turkey.

Additionally, they touched upon processes taking place in the international arena, including the situation in Ukraine.
