Iran Offers Russia Solutions to Avoid US Sanctions

Iran has offered Russia solutions to evade US sanctions, said Mohsen Karimi, Deputy of International Affairs at Iran's Central Bank. He noted that Iran's proposals are based on its "rich experience over the years under sanctions." For instance, EU countries have created a payment scheme to bypass the unilateral sanctions imposed by former President Donald Trump in 2018. Additionally, Iran has suggested conducting trade operations with Russia using the national currencies of both countries.
