What is happening in Russia's import market: Maxim Reshetnikov
The pace of product imports to Russia has significantly decreased in recent weeks, and measures are being taken to stabilize it through simplifying customs procedures and forming new logistics chains with new suppliers, stated Russia's Minister of Economic Development Maxim Reshetnikov.
“Everything is being done to ensure that imports, which have been drastically reduced over the past weeks, stabilize as much as possible, so that businesses can find new suppliers from new countries and actively import their products. We are developing new logistics chains with our neighbors and actively discussing new routes,” quoted Reshetnikov by Interfax.
The Economic Development Minister of Russia also announced that the import tariffs for a large list of goods from the EAEU have been reduced starting this week. “This concerns food products, including baby food and vegetables; soon it will also apply to a number of non-food items,” said Maxim Reshetnikov.
