Microsoft Disconnects Mail.Ru Email from Its Servers
Since March 17, VK users in Russia have been experiencing issues viewing attached files in Mail.Ru emails. According to Vedomosti, citing an insider from the IT company, the problems have arisen due to the disconnection of the email service from Microsoft’s servers.
“Our partner has faced technical difficulties, and we are working together with MyOffice to find a new solution so that users can continue to access the functionalities they are accustomed to,” the publication quoted VK’s press service.
After transitioning to a new solution developed in collaboration with MyOffice, a new feature will be introduced in Mail.Ru email—the “Autonomous Editing Module.” It will allow users to open and edit files from attachments directly in their browser without the need to download them. VK assures that the change in developers will not affect the quality of the product.
