Relations on the Brink of Breakdown: Russian Foreign Ministry Delivers Protest Note to US Ambassador
The Russian Foreign Ministry summoned US Ambassador John Sullivan today, where he was handed a protest note regarding unacceptable remarks made by US President Joe Biden about Russian President Vladimir Putin. This was reported by TASS.
"It was emphasized that such statements from the US President are inappropriate for a high-ranking state official and bring Russian-American relations to the brink of a breakdown. We have warned that hostile actions taken against Russia will receive a decisive and tough response," the ministry stated.
In addition, the Russian Foreign Ministry noted that during discussions on relevant bilateral issues, the issue of ensuring normal working conditions for Russian diplomatic missions in the US, including guarantees for their uninterrupted functioning, was raised sharply before the ambassador.
