Food as a Weapon: Germans Urged to Eat Less Meat

The German Minister of Agriculture, Cem Özdemir, has called on Germans to eat less meat in order to combat Russia, which he claims is using food as a weapon.

According to RIA Novosti, he stated that there should be a "conscious approach to shopping and less food waste." In an interview with Spiegel magazine, he positively responded to the question of whether Russia is using food supplies as a weapon. "It is evident that this is the case," the minister asserted.
