Kuleba on Putin and Zelensky's Meeting: 'Even Tomorrow, Even if Not Tomorrow, the Day After'
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba has announced that President Volodymyr Zelensky is ready to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin, given that the Russian leader shows willingness. This meeting could occur “even tomorrow, or if not tomorrow, then the day after.”
“If Putin shows readiness for such a meeting, then literally even tomorrow, or if not tomorrow, then the day after. President Zelensky is ready for that meeting. His position is clear, it has been formed on all issues, and Ukraine is prepared for that conversation,” Kuleba stated in an interview with Ukrainska Pravda, responding to the question of when a meeting between Putin and Zelensky could take place.
Kuleba added that there is currently competition among different countries regarding organizing the meeting. “I can say that the competition for the right to hold the meeting between Zelensky and Putin is more intense than that for hosting the Olympic Games,” Kuleba declared.
Earlier, an advisor to Zelensky's office and a member of the Ukrainian delegation in negotiations with Russia, Mykhailo Podolyak, announced the preparation of documents for potential direct negotiations between Putin and Zelensky.
