Kopirkin Discusses Events in Artsakh
All prerequisites exist to prevent serious escalation in Nagorno-Karabakh. This was stated today by the Russian Ambassador to Armenia, Sergey Kopirkin, in an interview with the newspaper "Zhoghovurd."
"There are all possibilities to resolve the issues through peaceful dialogue. Russia will do everything for this. The Russian side is carefully monitoring the situation and will support the continuation of the initiated resolution processes," he said.
It should be noted that in recent days, Azerbaijani troops have been periodically shelling the settlements of Artsakh, and they are also preventing the renovation of the gas pipeline coming from Armenia.
Kopirkin also spoke about new restrictions that have been imposed on Russia due to the special operation in Ukraine. "These are quite serious, but they are not the first sanctions against Russia, and we will try to use this challenge to become stronger," he added.
