Gas Supplied to Europe via Ukraine in Normal Regime: Gazprom
Gazprom continues to supply Russian gas to Europe via Ukraine in a regular manner, company spokesperson Sergey Kupriyanov informed journalists, as reported by TASS.
“Gazprom is supplying Russian gas for transit through Ukrainian territory in a regular mode, in accordance with the requests of European consumers, amounting to 109.5 million cubic meters,” he stated.
In recent days, Europe has increased gas withdrawals from storage facilities and significantly ramped up purchases of gas from Russia due to rising prices amid cold weather, a lack of wind, and escalating tensions in Ukraine.
