The Central Bank of Russia Releases Statement
The Central Bank of Russia has all the necessary resources and tools to maintain financial stability and ensure the operational continuity of the financial sector. According to a statement issued by the TASS news agency, this was mentioned in a press release.
“The Central Bank of Russia will continuously provide banks with cash and non-cash liquidity in rubles,” said the regulator.
It was noted that to maximize the current liquidity needs of banks, the Central Bank of Russia will significantly expand the list of collateralized loans.
It was previously reported that the UK, Germany, Italy, Canada, the USA, France, and the European Commission have agreed to impose new financial sanctions against the Russian Federation, which also include the disconnection of certain Russian banks from the SWIFT interbank system for transferring information and making payments.
