Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry Calls for Pressure on Yerevan
Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry has called on the international community to exert pressure on Yerevan to provide information regarding mass graves of Azerbaijanis who died during the first Nagorno-Karabakh war of 1992-1994.
Earlier, the Press Secretary of the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Vahan Hunanian, stated that Yerevan has no obligation to inform Baku about the mass graves of Azerbaijanis who died during the first Karabakh war.
“Refusal to fulfill obligations by Armenia is outside the norms of international law. We urge the international community to apply pressure on the Armenian side to take responsibility for clarifying the fate of Azerbaijani citizens missing from the first Armenian-Azerbaijani war and to fulfill its assumed responsibilities,” the statement said.
