Ministry of Defense Confirms Postponement of Armed Forces 30th Anniversary Event Due to COVID-19 Cases
The event dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the formation of the armed forces, scheduled for January 28, has been postponed. This was confirmed by the Ministry of Defense of Armenia in a conversation with Auroranews.
The Ministry also noted that the postponement was due to a sharp deterioration in the epidemiological situation in the country: “Cases of coronavirus infection have also been detected among some of the invitees.”
It is worth mentioning that there have been reports in the media indicating that the event was postponed because the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Armenia, along with several senior officials in the military command, as well as some invited guests, have tested positive for coronavirus.
