Finally, Parakar Will Have a Mayor: 5-Year Governance Divided Into Two Parts
During the ongoing meeting at the Parakar municipal hall today, members of the 'Living Country' faction submitted their mandates. 'For the sake of our people, for the sake of solidarity, we are submitting our mandates,' announced Volodia Grigoryan, the mayoral candidate from the 'Living Country' faction.
David Minasyan, the unified candidate from Parakar's 'David Minasyan' and 'Civil Contract' factions, was elected the head of the consolidated community today, January 9. It was announced at the council session that he will share governance of the community for the next five years: he will govern for 2.5 years, followed by 2.5 years of governance by Lyudvig Gyulnazaryan, the candidate from the Civil Contract.
David Minasyan is set to take the official oath on January 12. It is noteworthy that the community has been unable to elect its leader for the past two weeks.
