Armenia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the Evacuation of Armenians from Kazakhstan
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia has provided details regarding the mission of Armenian servicemen going to Kazakhstan as part of the CSTO peacekeeping forces. In response to a query from Armenpress, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Vahan Hunanian also addressed whether the Armenian government plans to evacuate its citizens from Kazakhstan.
Vahan Hunanian stated that there have been no casualties among Armenian citizens due to the unfolding events in Kazakhstan. When asked if the Armenian government intends to evacuate citizens from Kazakhstan, he responded, 'At this moment, there is no such intention.'
In terms of the mission of the Armenian servicemen deployed to Kazakhstan under the CSTO peacekeeping forces, Hunanian clarified that their task will be to protect strategically important sites.
Additionally, he confirmed that, according to reports from the Armenian embassy in Kazakhstan, there are no casualties among Armenian citizens.
