Armenian Foreign Ministry on Iran's Decision to Open Consulate in Kapan
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia has commented on the decision by the Iranian government to open a consulate in Kapan, stating that Armenia is also working towards the establishment of a consulate in Iran.
“We are also undertaking efforts to open a consulate of the Republic of Armenia in the Islamic Republic of Iran based on the principle of reciprocity,” said the spokesperson for the Armenian Foreign Ministry, Vahan Hunanian, to Armenpress.
It was previously reported that the Iranian government has approved a proposal from its Ministry of Foreign Affairs to open a consulate in Kapan.
