Head-on Collision Between Mercedes and Opel Leaves Car in Ashes, Several Injured
Today, on December 2, a major car accident and fire occurred in Yerevan. Around 22:35, a head-on collision took place between Mercedes and Opel vehicles on Davit Bek Street.
According to Shamshyan.com, as a result of the collision, a fire broke out in the Mercedes, and three individuals with various degrees of injuries were transported to different hospitals in Yerevan.
Citizens, along with the emergency medical teams from the Yerevan 1-03 ambulance service and patrol officers from the Yerevan police, were the first to provide assistance to the injured. The doctors provided first aid at the scene before transporting the injured to hospitals.
The firefighters from the Emergency Situations Ministry’s Fire and Rescue Division, specifically the Yerevan number 9 team, arrived at the site and first prevented the spreading of the fire from the Mercedes to the damaged Opel and then extinguished it. The Mercedes was completely reduced to a pile of ashes.
The police are determining the identities of the drivers and the injured.
