Hovhannes Bachkov Loses in the Battle for the Semifinals

At the World Boxing Championship taking place in Serbia, Armenian representative and two-time European champion Hovhannes Bachkov lost in the fight for the semifinals against Thailand's Somchai Wongsuwan. This was reported by ArmSport.am.

In the first round, 4 out of 5 judges awarded the victory to Bachkov. However, in the second round, the judges unanimously gave the advantage to the Thai boxer, and in the third round, the decision of one of the side judges proved decisive, resulting in a 3:2 victory for the Thai representative. After the match, Bachkov expressed his surprise at the judges' decision.

It is noteworthy that earlier today, Davit Chaloyan secured a victory and advanced to the semifinals, ensuring the first medal for the Armenian team.
