VIDEO: Mother Sends 10-Year-Old Daughter to Steal in Artik

On June 27, a deputy manager of a supermarket reported to the Artik police that approximately 400,000 AMD had been stolen from the cash register hours earlier.

The operational group of the division arrived at the scene. Appropriate measures were taken, and the area was examined, leading to various hypotheses being proposed. 45 minutes after the report, police summoned a 32-year-old resident of Artik on suspicion of theft.

She confessed and explained the following: noticing that the cash register drawer was open, she had directed her 10-year-old daughter to commit the theft. After explaining what she needed to do, she exited the store and waited outside, while her daughter discreetly took about 70,000 AMD from the cash register and joined her mother. The mother returned a portion of the money.

Measures are being taken to locate the remaining amount. Employees of the supermarket also need to clarify how the cash register’s shortfall came to nearly 400,000 AMD after the 70,000 AMD theft. This complex issue, along with other circumstances of the case, is being investigated.
