Judge Who Released Charchyan Addresses Allegations of Kidnapping and Detention
The judge of the Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction, Manvel Shahverdyan, has submitted a report to the Supreme Judicial Council of Armenia, indicating that the complaint about the legality of Armen Charchyan's arrest was examined and resolved in accordance with the Constitution and laws of Armenia, based on his internal conviction regarding the circumstances of the case.
The judge stated that there has been no interference in his activities. “As for the information circulated on the internet suggesting that I was kidnapped from the consultation room and detained in the NSS, it has no relation to reality,” emphasized Judge Shahverdyan.
