Canada Calls for the Release of All Armenian Detainees Held in Azerbaijan
Canada has called for the release of all detainees held in Azerbaijan. In a statement shared on Twitter by the Canadian government's Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, it was noted: "Canada welcomes the release of three detainees by Azerbaijan, viewing it as a key step toward a comprehensive resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. Canada continues to call for the release of all detainees."
The Republic of Armenia has stated that, adhering to the principle of exchanging detainees and other individuals held, 'All for All', it has returned all prisoners of war and other individuals held to Azerbaijan. However, Azerbaijan refuses to implement Point 8 of the declaration made by the leaders of Armenia, Russia, and Azerbaijan on November 9, 2020, regarding the return of detainees.
