COVID-19 Vaccinations Now Free in Armenia, Says Ministry of Health
The Ministry of Health of Armenia reports that from now on, vaccinations against the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) will be free for both citizens of Armenia and foreign nationals residing in the country.
Vaccinations with the "AstraZeneca" vaccine are designated for all risk groups, particularly individuals aged 55 and older, as per the order numbered 436-A issued by the health minister on February 15, 2021. It is noteworthy that vaccinations with "AstraZeneca" can also be administered to individuals aged 18 and above, subject to demand and voluntary participation.
Moreover, the vaccinations will be conducted in health care facilities regardless of prior registration in the primary health care system.
The "Sputnik V" vaccinations are intended for people in risk groups, specifically healthcare workers aged 18 to 54, chronic patients aged 18 to 54, and residents and staff of social care centers within the same age range.
Additionally, in the framework of measures to combat COVID-19, availability of primary health care services will be ensured for the public on non-working days to facilitate the vaccination process. Starting April 24, on Saturdays and Sundays, designated working hours will be set from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, involving general practitioners and immunization cabinet staff.
