The Patrol Service Division in Yerevan to Be Launched in July 2021, Rustam Badasyan

The report on the execution process and results of the Government of the Republic of Armenia's program for 2020 was presented at the state-legal issues committee by Justice Minister Rustam Badasyan.

The Minister reminded that last year, the strategy for police reform was adopted, along with an action plan for 2020-2022, based on which the necessary legislative acts for the establishment and operation of the Patrol Service were approved. The goal is to create a specialized and technically equipped ethical police force capable of addressing modern challenges and a new image of a police officer.

"New technical means, uniforms necessary for the Patrol Service have been obtained, and training courses for 707 trainees have been launched. The Patrol Service division in Yerevan and the operational management center, which will receive calls from citizens and manage external service from a single center equipped with modern technology, will be launched in July 2021. We have already started preparatory work for the implementation of the Patrol Service in Shirak and Lori regions," noted the minister.
