Lieutenant General Levon Mnatsakanyan Issues Statement
Lieutenant General Levon Mnatsakanyan has expressed his solidarity and support for the demand from the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of Armenia and the leadership of military formations for the resignation of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and the government. His statement reads:
“Dear compatriots,
We are once again experiencing a historical and fateful moment as a nation. The Armenian people are forced to confront not only external threats but also our current anti-national authorities that are leading the country towards destruction.
As a person who has been at the forefront of the national-liberation struggle of Artsakh and has made a modest contribution to the building of the Armenian army, I cannot remain passive during this difficult time when the question of the existence of the Homeland is being determined.
Given the historical necessity of the moment, I extend my solidarity and support to the demand for the resignation of the Prime Minister and the government made by the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of Armenia and the leadership of military formations.
At the same time, I urge all honorable officers serving in the security structures, who understand the value and weight of their duty, to be honorable and impartial in their positions to save our Homeland from impending disaster.
I am honored.”
