What If They Answer: Why Did the Fired Iskander Not Detonate, or Did It Explode by 10 Percent, Perhaps It Was 80s Weaponry?
In an interview with 1in.am, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan addressed former President Serzh Sargsyan's statement regarding his surprise at the lack of deployment of the Iskander missile on the 3rd or 4th day of the war.
Nver Mnatsakanyan asked Pashinyan whether this remark was directed at him, to which Pashinyan responded, "That remark may be addressed to me as well, but I believe that someone who has been rejected should know the answers to many questions and should not ask questions to which he already knows the answers. Or perhaps they can answer why the fired Iskander missile did not detonate or exploded, for example, by 10 percent."
In response to the remark about whether this can happen, Pashinyan noted, "I don't know. Perhaps it was an 80s weapon?"
When asked about the claim of former President Robert Kocharian, who stated that had he been the head of state, Armenia would not have faced this defeat, Nikol Pashinyan replied, "What I am about to say may sound a bit ridiculous, but anyone who was not the leader of Armenia in September, October, or November of 2020 can say the same thing: 'If I were there, Azerbaijan would not have dared to attack. We would not have lost.' And so on and so forth. But we must also genuinely understand the deep-rooted origins of the defeat. Very well, if this is a defeat that originated in two years or two months, let us acknowledge and prove that," Pashinyan stated.
