Earthquake Occurred 12 km Southeast of Yerevan
On February 17, at 07:26 local time (03:26 GMT), a 2.0 magnitude earthquake (aftershock) was recorded by the Seismic Protection Territorial Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia at geographical coordinates 40.10° N latitude and 44.57° E longitude, 12 km southeast of Yerevan, at a depth of 10 km.
The intensity of the underground tremor in the epicentral zone was recorded at 2-3 points. The earthquake (aftershock) was felt in Yerevan and Artashat, with a strength of 2 points.
