Is a Scandalous Arrest Expected at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs? Details Revealed
According to information circulated on the internet, a major scandal is anticipated at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Specifically, it is mentioned that the National Security Service (NSS) is preparing materials against the Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Vahagn Melikyan.
The same source reports that, based on evidence gathered during the investigation, it has been revealed that Vahagn Melikyan abused his official position to assign his candidates to various diplomatic positions in exchange for money and has been involved in several corrupt deals.
It is also noted that Melikyan organized leaks regarding various appointments and internal processes within Armenia's diplomatic corps. The leak about Makunts's appointment as Ambassador to the USA was also orchestrated by Vahagn Melikyan to prevent his appointment under public pressure, allowing him to push his own candidate.
Vahagn Melikyan is expected to be dismissed soon, after which the NSS will arrest him.
Auroranews contacted Anna Naghdalyan, the press secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to confirm the information. She stated that a comment would be provided shortly.
Attempts were also made to verify the information with the NSS; however, they indicated that the information is still being clarified.
