Warning to Drivers: Some Roads in Armenia Closed and Impassable
The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that there are closed and impassable roads in the territory of Armenia.
Closed are the roads from the "Amberd" high mountain meteorological station in the Aragatsotn region to the Amberd fortress and towards the Kʼari Lake.
The Vardenyats Pass is closed for all vehicles.
The Areni-Khachik road in the Vayots Dzor region is difficult to traverse for all vehicles.
On the Martuni-Jambarak-Vardenis road in the Gegharkunik region, at the entrance of the tunnel in the town of Stepanavan in the Lori region, and in the Sisian-Zanger section in the Syunik region, there is localized black ice present.
Fog is reported in the towns of Gyumri and Amasia in the Shirak region.
Snowfall is occurring in the cities of Aparan and Ashtarak in the Aragatsotn region, in the Talin district, as well as in the towns of Armavir and Ejmiatsin in the Armavir region, Ashotzk and Amasia regions in Shirak.
