In accordance with the directive of the President of Russia, an inter-agency delegation of Russia, consisting of deputy prime ministers as well as heads of various ministries and departments, made working visits to Yerevan and Baku on November 21. This was announced by the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maria Zakharova, during a briefing on November 27.
She reminded that comments from the Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov following the trip were posted on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation. "I would like to emphasize that the provision of humanitarian assistance aimed at creating conditions for normal life in the Nagorno-Karabakh region was prominently discussed. We expect that the comprehensive measures undertaken by the Russian Federation, together with both Azerbaijan and Armenia, as well as with international interested partners and organizations, will contribute to peace and security in the South Caucasus," Zakharova stated.
