Armenian Military Prosecutor Visits Martakert Region and Stepanakert Military Hospital
During a working visit to the Republic of Artsakh, Armenian Military Prosecutor and Deputy Attorney General Vahe Harutyunyan visited the Martakert region, where he familiarized himself with the material damage inflicted by the armed forces of Azerbaijan on the military infrastructure and buildings of the Artsakh Defense Army during the war.
This information was reported by the Prosecutor's Office. At a military unit stationed in the Martakert direction, he met with the commander of the N military unit, Major General Karen Shakaryan, and learned about the extent of damage to civilian infrastructure and residential areas during military operations in that direction, as well as the human losses suffered by the Defense Army, the exchange of bodies, and the search for those considered missing.
Vahe Harutyunyan also met and conversed with volunteers currently on combat duty in the mentioned defensive direction, inquiring about their living conditions, health, and moral-psychological state. The Armenian Military Prosecutor expressed gratitude to them for responsibly and devotedly carrying out their combat tasks, supporting both conscript and contract soldiers, and motivating them with determination to fight against the enemy until the end.
In addition, the Armenian Military Prosecutor visited the military hospital in Stepanakert, where he discussed with the head of the Artsakh Defense Army's medical service, Colonel Sahak Ohanyan, and the head of the military hospital, Lieutenant Colonel Zorik Sahakyan, the treatment and rehabilitation process of soldiers injured during the war, the overall conditions and state of medical care, and the needs for ensuring the health rights of soldiers.
He highly appreciated the immense and invaluable work organized and carried out by the medical staff throughout the war and after the ceasefire, recognizing the heroism displayed in certain instances during the direct evacuation of wounded soldiers from the battlefield, sometimes at the cost of their own lives, as well as their professional approach and care, which saved many young lives.
Vahe Harutyunyan toured the military hospital and met with the soldiers receiving treatment, encouraging them and wishing them a speedy recovery.
