Ban on Importing Used Tires to Be Lifted
The newspaper "Zhamanak" reports that the Armenian government is preparing to amend a decision made five years ago, which will result in the lifting of the ban on importing used tires into Armenia.
Under the current legislation, these tires are classified as toxic hazardous waste, and their importation into Armenian territory is prohibited. If the proposed changes are adopted, used tires will be considered hazardous waste subject to restrictions.
