Armenian Foreign and Defense Ministries Deny Reports of Soldiers in Iran
Reports about "82 Armenian soldiers in Iran" continue to circulate within the Armenian Facebook community. The circulating news urges the parents of missing soldiers serving in Martuni, Jabrail, and Vayk to approach the Armenian embassy in Iran for information about their children, according to infocheck.am.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed the Information Verification Center that in response to inquiries regarding the Armenian embassy in Iran and in constant contact with the Iranian embassy in Yerevan, the Iranian side has not confirmed the presence of any soldiers at this time.
The Ministry of Defense also commented on the information, stating that they are actively working with the Iranian side to clarify the veracity of such reports. As of now, the Ministry of Defense does not have any confirmed data regarding this matter.
